This newly renovated 1920’s home is a prime example of old meets new; with an atmosphere for family living and city entertaining. We have added a sleek, open plan interior that seamlessly blends with the old character Perth home.

With an appreciation of the original structure, we wanted to keep the charm of the existing home by keeping the beautiful hard wood jarrah floors that flow through to the newly added extension. With polished concrete throughout, and an abundance of natural light, it is now a contemporary space that breathes new life.

The high ceilings with exposed jarrah beams have lifted the home and created an illusion of a larger space. The bifold doors and heat repelling windows ensures the house remains cosy and cool throughout the seasons.

The kitchen is a modernistic design with white caesarstone fountain style benchtops and large grey tiled splashback. The kitchen is definitely an entertainer’s dream. With large deep draws installed in the kitchen, it ensures there is an abundance of storage.

The bathroom is a sleek minimalist design with large tiles, a free-standing bath and lots of bright natural light beaming through the window.

To utilise Perth’s picturesque city views we added a roof top deck, and by incorporating jarrah beams that wrap around the balcony it has created a statement feature that is appealing from all angles.

By keeping the old character charm and combining it with a contemporary design, the partnership exemplifies old architecture meeting new.
